‘Betsy Town’ & Beer February 21st

‘Betsy Town’ & Beer February 21st

Michael J. Malone will host his book release party at Captain Lawrence Brewing in Westchester County (NY) Sunday, February 21. Betsy Town, the third installment of Malone’s Tompkins Trilogy after No Never No More and When I Was Punk, had its soft launch on Amazon in December, ahead of its proper premiere in January.

Malone pens the weekly “Notes From the Tasting Room” columns on behalf of Captain Lawrence, and hosted the radio show Books & Beer from late 2014 to late 2015. He’ll read a couple passages from the new novel at the event, which goes down 6-9 p.m. and will, of course, feature craft beer specials. Malone says an ideal companion to Betsy Town would be the Captain’s Winter Ale—dark and rich and sneakily seductive. Captain Lawrence is located at 444 Saw Mill River Road in Elmsford, NY.

Says John Roche, author of the New York novel Bronx Bound: “From the first page to the very last, readers feel as though there’s a speeding train heading right for us as we accompany David Campion on his complicated quest for sanity, happiness and wholeness. Michael J. Malone’s gift for dark humor makes this madcap journey even more worth the ride.”
